Weekend Preview: Penultimate matchups
Following the crowning of the Women’s Division champions, attention turns back to the men’s competition with TSS Rovers on the brink of glory.

Too close to call
The main protagonists in the title story play on Saturday this matchweek, but the action begins on Friday in Burnaby when they host Evolution. The hosts currently sit five points away from the top three, but with only two games remaining top spot is out of reach.
A day later, TSS Rovers would take another step closer to retaining their title with a win at Nanaimo United. The gap to second is currently two points, so a victory here and any dropped points by Langley United behind them mean they would be crowned champions heading into the final matchweek.
Langley United can continue to put the pressure on at the summit and stay in the title race if they secure a victory against Kamloops United. The pressure is on against opponents who look to be finishing in mid-table. This is Langley’s last home game of the year so they will want to put on a show in front of their own fans.
Elsewhere, the final match of the weekend sees Vancouver Whitecaps Academy travel to Unity. The sides are currently eighth and seventh respectively.
Finishing on a high
Women’s Division champions Altitude are out of action this weekend, but those behind them can still improve their position in the table before the end of the season. The weekend kicks off with Evolution travelling to Burnaby with a chance to move from seventh to fifth. The hosts can also move up two places, but start the game second from bottom.
On Saturday, there is a battle between second and third as Vancouver Rise Academy and Unity look to finish in the runners-up spot. The latter are the hosts and sit three points behind their opponents, so they would like a win to both take the fight into the final match and impress in front of their home support.
TSS Rovers are now out of reach of the top three but would like to claim three points at a Nanaimo United side who have enjoyed a respectable season following their rebrand. The hosts have 14 points from the same number of games in 2025, so have a foundation to build on for next season.
The final game of the weekend involves Langley United and Kamloops United, with the latter looking for their second win of the season. Sitting bottom with six points, three points is the goal with the pressure off as they head into next week to finish the season in front of a home crowd.
