Weekend Preview: The season finale

TSS Rovers and Langley United are only separated by two points in the Men’s Division, but only one side can be crowned champions by the end of the weekend.

A road win needed

Langley have held the upper hand over TSS Rovers in the Men’s Division this season, defeating them 3-1 and 3-0, so with their head-to-head records potentially deciding the title, TSS securing maximum points from their trip to Kamloops on Friday would leave no doubt and make them champions. A tie or defeat, coupled with Langley also winning, would instead see the latter take the crown.

Langley play a day later, so they will know going into their game whether they can still win the league or not. If Rovers fail to collect three points the pressure will be on to claim victory at Vancouver Whitecaps Academy to reach the summit on the final day. Langley won 3-0 against the Whitecaps earlier in the season, so the goal is to replicate that result.

Elsewhere over the weekend, Altitude face Burnaby in a battle between third and fourth. They both mounted title challenges, but ultimately needed to turn their ties into wins to be where TSS and Langley are in the standings.

The season ends with Nanaimo travelling to Unity. The visitors have struggled in 2025 but will be hoping they can finish the season on a high against a side who haven’t found much consistency this season.

Concluding on a high

Only those in the bottom half of the Women’s Division can improve their places in the standings with the top four now set. Champions Altitude are on the road against Burnaby on Friday night, with the travelling fans sure to be in full voice to celebrate their title.

Also on Friday, Kamloops will be hoping to finish a disappointing season on a high note. With only one victory in 2025, a win on the final day will be the goal against a TSS side that secured a fourth-placed finish last week.

The final day sees Vancouver Rise Academy host Langley United; the Rise can celebrate a second-placed finish behind a formidable Altitude side, while the visitors will look to secure fifth place. Nanaimo United are on the road against Unity to conclude another entertaining season in League1 BC.
