League1 Canada Converge to take place November 22-23

The two-day event will involve panels, workshops, and roundtables covering important topics impacting the game at League1 level and across Canada.

Toronto, ON – (Nov 7, 2025) – The 2025 League1 Canada Converge – presented by Johan Cruyff Institute – will see club leaders, innovators, and practitioners come together to advance Pro-Am soccer, and support in shaping the next era of the game across the country.

The event will be taking place across Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23 at Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre in Cambridge, Ontario.

Building on from last year’s League1 Summit, which involved six expert panels, the 2025 Converge has expanded to include 11 different sessions in addition to networking breaks, and more than 30 speakers.

The key topics for this year include Executive & Strategic Leadership, Team Operations & Game Day Management, and Marketing & Communications, with sessions ranging from discussion workshops around volunteer optimization, through to a planning panel on leveraging momentum from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Converge is designed to share and elevate the best practices at League1 level, and give attendees actionable tools, strategic insights, and meaningful connections to take into the new year and beyond.

“The 2025 League1 Canada Converge has been in the planning since the L1 Summit concluded 12 months ago,” said Chris Keem, League1 Ontario’s Operations Manager. “After some positive and constructive feedback, we wanted to make the event bigger and better.

“This year’s Converge comes at a significant time for Canadian soccer, following the first Northern Super League season and the seventh Canadian Premier League season, and preceding the men’s World Cup in North America – three competitions that are expected to feature former League1 players in 2026.

“While League1 Canada competitions have proven to be a great pathway for rising soccer stars, it’s important for League1 clubs to continue to evolve. From strengthening their soccer business operations, to enhancing their entertainment experience for fans and the local community, the growth of League1 clubs will help to raise standards across all levels and areas of the game in this country.

“Thank you to everyone who has helped to bring this year’s Converge to life, and we are looking forward to seeing friends – old and new – from across the four League1 Canada provinces later this month.”
