Weekly Rewind: Putting in the work
It was a perfect weekend for TSS Rovers and Altitude as their sides pushed on with maximum points in both divisions.

Title fights continue
In the Men’s Division, the battle at the top of the standings continued to heat up as there were three away wins in three Saturday games.
Current table-toppers Kamloops remained unbeaten on Saturday, after their 1-0 win away at Vancouver Whitecaps Academy. The visitors took a first-half lead through Dylan Hooper and held on to secure all three points and remain at the summit of the standings.
Elsewhere, defending champions TSS Rovers also took maximum points when they travelled to previously unbeaten Burnaby. The away side went 1-0 up in the 12th minute through Michael Hennessy’s sixth goal of the season, and the points were confirmed when Lucianno Keramen and Ivan Mejia scored in the final minutes of the match.
Langley United’s Emmanuel Santo Lado scored a brace alongside Matheus Lucas’ goal to give them a 3-1 win at Nanaimo United. Nanaimo’s Niklas Hallam got a consolation goal in the 76th minute, but it was not enough as they remain at the foot of the standings.
There was a solo Sunday showing in the Men’s Division, when Altitude beat Evolution 3-0 at Kinsmen Field. A Ryan Torresan own goal, followed by late goals from Hauke Tippe and Carson Buschman-Dormand, gave the hosts their first win of 2025.
Stamping authority
Women’s Division title holders, Vancouver Rise Academy, beat Kamloops United 5-0 to move up to third in the standings. The hosts have had a mixed start to 2025, but goals from Jade Mitchell, Lacey Kindel, Zahra Bains, and a brace from Quinn Johnson ensured they took maximum points from Matchweek Six.
Elsewhere, Nanaimo and Langley played out an entertaining 2-2 tie. Lauren Grey made it 1-0 to the hosts early on, before Langley managed to turn the game on its head even after Meckenzie Fitzgerald’s red card. Raya Athwal and Abby Berg’s goals looked to have won the game, but Jensa Napier-Ganley equalized in stoppage time to save a point.
TSS Rovers won 2-1 on the road against Burnaby. The hosts took the lead thanks to a well-taken volley from 18-year-old Camile Berg, but Katie Bishop and Delana Friesen flipped the script to give the visitors maximum points.
On Sunday, it was Altitude domination against Evolution as they won 4-0 at home. A Jayda Thompson brace alongside Kiara Kilbey and Vanessa Tome’s goals gave them maximum points. The home side now have five wins from five in 2025 and sit top of the standings.
