Weekend Preview: Bouncing back and stepping up
The Men’s Division sees the title race continue to heat up, while Unity’s women are aiming to return to winning ways.

A crucial day at the top
First and second are in action in the Men’s Division, beginning with Burnaby hosting Langley United. The home side currently have an identical record with TSS Rovers, who kick off at the same time, but welcome a team who sit fourth and are hoping to join the title race.
TSS travel to Evolution and are enjoying their title defence so far with five wins from seven, but will need to be at their best on a Friday that could be crucial in the quest for success.
On Saturday, third-placed Kamloops United will be aiming to capitalize on any mistakes made above them when they face Unity away from home. The travelling side sit three points away from the top two, while the hosts are sixth.
To tie up the Men’s Division games, Vancouver Whitecaps Academy host Nanaimo United in a battle between the two bottom sides. Nanaimo are still without a win this season, and the young Whitecaps have lost every match since their victory in Matchweek One.
Time to bounce back
With league leaders Altitude on a bye week, Unity can put last week’s defeat behind them when they face Kamloops on Saturday. The hosts were enjoying a perfect start to the season before last week, but after defeat to Nanaimo, they need to react with all three points against a side who are unbeaten in four.
This week’s games begin on Friday, though, when eighth-placed Burnaby host Langley. The home side have struggled so far in 2025, with one win and six defeats from seven matches, while Langley have two wins, two ties, and two defeats from a mixed season so far.
Elsewhere on Friday, fourth-placed TSS Rovers travel to Evolution in a bid to challenge the top three. The visitors sit three points behind Vancouver Rise Academy with a game in hand, but a long way off the top with how well Altitude have started. Evolution have struggled to find consistency so far, winning three and losing four.
To conclude the weekend’s matches, Vancouver Rise Academy could move into the top-two battle, but with two more games played over Altitude after this weekend, their hopes of the title are slowly petering out. They face Nanaimo, who are seventh.
