Weekly Rewind: Altitude take full advantage
We have seen the first slip in the Women’s Division title race, as Matchweek Eight in L1BC provided plenty of talking points.

Pouncing on opportunities
Altitude have extended their lead at the top of the Women’s Division standings after a big victory, while Unity fell to defeat on Saturday.
The two sides headed into the matchweek after perfect starts. Unity had five wins from their opening five but lost to a Nanaimo United side who had just one win before the weekend. Jade Dillabough made it 1-0 in the first half before Lianna Holz equalized on the hour mark, but Alex Paul scored the winner to dent the visitors’ title hopes.
For Altitude, it was a perfect weekend as they made it seven wins from seven with a huge 5-1 victory at Langley United. Jayda Thompson opened the scoring with her seventh of the season, before a Bailey Doerksen brace, and goals from Sofia Peckenpaugh and Vanessa Tome. Altitude are now six points clear with an extra game played.
Elsewhere, Evolution enjoyed Saturday success with a dramatic 4-3 win over Burnaby. A Kiera Scott hat-trick helped her side pull away and secure the victory, despite Burnaby’s best efforts to come back and put their midweek defeat to Vancouver Rise Academy behind them.
TSS Rovers won 5-2 against Kamloops United to move into the top four. Goals from Jessica Merk, Sophia Feramo, Delana Friesen, Sophia Kramer, and Sasha Doleman ensured the visitors remained at the foot of the standings.
Heating up at the top
The battle at the summit of the Men’s Division continued over the weekend, with only three points separating the top three.
Defending champions TSS Rovers maintained their spot at the top with a 4-0 home win against Kamloops on Sunday. The two sides were level on points heading into the game, but goals from Shaya Zarjampour, Tristan Otuomagie, Kian Proctor, and Ivan Mejia’s eighth of the season secured the points.
Burnaby have leapfrogged Kamloops into second place and maintained their identical record with TSS. They enjoyed a 1-0 away win at Evolution on Saturday thanks to a late Luke Norman goal, in addition to a 3-0 midweek win over Vancouver Whitecaps Academy.
Also on Saturday, Nanaimo and Unity played out a 1-1 tie, the former remaining winless in 2025. The opener came from Dante Colebourne-Urcuyo, before Alex Dedame equalized 10 minutes from time.
To conclude this week’s Rewind, Langley United beat Altitude 2-0 on Saturday to go fourth.
