Women’s Division done and dusted

Harbourside FC may not have finished in the playoff places, but they have avoided finishing bottom after a 2-1 win over fourth-placed TSS Rovers. It was their second win of the campaign, but they couldn’t follow it up with a further three points, losing 1-0 at home to Unity the following day.

The results for the Nanaimo-based club meant they have finished sixth, at the expense of Rivers who dropped to bottom of the standings despite playing out a goalless tie with the regular season’s invincible champions Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy. The Women’s Division table-toppers having not lost a game this campaign.

Men’s Division wrapped up

Altitude FC have finished second in the standings after a 4-0 win over rock-bottom Burnaby, with Sairoob Sairoob and Lucas Booth both netting twice for the hosts, who will host a semifinal against Whitecaps FC Academy in the playoffs.

With their minds on the playoffs, third-placed Whitecaps fell to a heavy 4-1 defeat against Rivers who would have wanted to put on a show in their final game of the 2024 season. The Rivers defeat did mean that Whitecaps missed out on a hosting their playoff semifinal against Altitude.

Harbourside became the fourth and final team to book a spot in the postseason playoffs after beating regular-season champions TSS Rovers 3-0 on Saturday; Suka Behery netted a brace. Their 4-2 loss at home to Unity – Harbourside’s challengers for fourth-place – on Sunday would not have spoiled the celebrations.
